Ipanema on Boxing Day

Walked  along Nossa Senhora de Copacabana, which is a busy shopping and commercial street one main block back from the front. I've been looking for sandals, same brand as I bought last year as they're so comfortable and I found a pair in red in the sales. Success! Rio's still remarkably quiet for this time of year, so it was quite pleasant.  We cut down the front and along to Ipanema. Stopped to have chicken and batatas portuguesas (thickly cut crisps), but they weren't nearly as good as our local place offers in Copacabana, neither in quantity or quality.  Heading back to the flat now and to open our Christmas pressies. If we're too tired on the 25th at night, we often wait till today.  Blip's at the start of Ipanema, coming from Copa.
