Headspace

I wonder if three heads are better than two.
I suppose it depends who they belong to.
Though, if two’s company and three’s a crowd
(and if that scenario is always true)
then perhaps three should never be allowed?

But this is January 1st, the start of a fresh year,
an opportunity to begin anew,
so maybe we should embrace
‘the more the merrier’ and welcome,
with good grace,
those who turn up at our door.

(And, should the shoe be put
upon the other foot,
believe that they would do
the same for me and you).
