Today's the day .............................. to go to Harris

They may be joined together in a geographical sense - but the Hebridean islands of Lewis and Harris are poles apart in almost every other way possible.  The people indigenous to Harris have a healthy disregard for those born in Lewis - and vice versa.  In fact you might well think that they belong to a different species of mankind altogether.  

Harris is much more rugged and mountainous with spectacular sandy beaches along its west coastline like the one above.  The scenery is dramatic - whatever the weather is doing.  

It was a joy to return there today and see it all again . . . . . . .
