Kessock Ferry Pier

This is North Kessock Ferry Pier. It hasn't been used since 1981-1982, when the ferry service stopped, because the Kessock Bridge was built and the Ferry was no longer required. The pier has gradually deteriated over the intervening years. It belonged to the council, until just recently when some local villages managed to buy the pier from the council. This is a good thing, as now the pier is being repaired and yachts and cruisers and other crafts will be able to use it. It should help the village by opening it up to a wider community.
