Painting
The youngest wasn't too well this morning, neither was the husband, so they stayed at home whilst the eldest and I went to the super-market (lucky us) and then on to playgroup. I had such a nice time with the eldest, we don't get much time just the two of us.
I got back to find the husband and the youngest asleep. The husband woke up as we got back, and he confessed to falling asleep not long after we left, waking up to find the youngest cuddled up next to him, what he didn't know, is how long they had both been asleep. We came to a conclusion, firstly, when the husband is off sick, he doesn't look after children, secondly, we were all very lucky that all the youngest did was fall asleep (we think).
Anyway, the main entertainment of the day - if you are the eldest, was painting. He has waited so patiently since yesterday and was desperate to start. I have no idea how many sheets of A1 paper he painted, probably about 10, he had a wonderful time and my only instruction was 'more' - referring to paint and paper. He was very proud of his art and I loved how much fun he had.
