Have you ever accepted a gift from someone that you really didn't want...but you got the impression that they really wanted you to have it?

We were visiting our old neighbor in Kentucky, when her roommate at the home noticed me looking at her paintings. She had a stack of about 10.

I spoke. "Did you draw these?"

"No, my brother did."

"He's really quite good."

"Well...why don't you take one. In fact...if you want...take two."

So, I did. I had the choice of Charlton Heston, Burt Reynolds, and Don Knotts (among others.) I chose Yvonne Craig, the original Batgirl in the 1960's Batman series.

She did make a fine Batgirl.
