Kestrel
A very grim grey day today in all the bits of Cumbria I visited.
A productive meeting this morning. Mentoring Policy handed over to our Association's Aspirants Director who has the job of recruiting, implementing and running the scheme. It will hopefully be a real step forward in how we help people develop a career in the outdoors.
Then a swim, this time at Kendal. Due to the proximity of the school there's only a 90minute session during the day (I'm ignoring the idea of a pre 07.30am swim, yuck) so it was busy, but much better managed. First target achieved, 1km. Also really pushed on the number of continuous lengths I can do before I grab the side. Definitely type 2 fun though.
Then I headed into Kentmere to scout a venue for first aid courses. I had hoped this wonderful secluded valley would offer a mountain blip, but the cloud was mere feet above the valley bottom.
I did get this maximum zoom kestrel though. Quite pleased to see him.
