With a plaster

A dear reunion today with another friend of old times.
She looks lovely as always and that made her news of having limited lifetime ahead due to her incurable metastases, shock me. Glad it doesn't show, glad I didn't see her poor health. Ofcourse the alarming news of the cancer ramming unnoticed in her body, shocked her too when she learned that a month ago. Now she's inviting friends and relatives for meet-ups as she manages that still.
The idea of this being our last reunion is like insane to us both. Thus we departed with the promiss of another meet-up soon and perhaps we manage.... it's like putting a plaster on our wound.
