Back to the Hebrides

This was The Minch today as we flew to the Hebrides from London via Aberdeen. The body of land on the left is the mainland, sun reflecting on The Minch, with the first glimpses of Lewis and Harris emerging from the mist on the right. The first event of the launch tour for my new book takes place tomorrow night in the ballroom of Lews Castle in Stornoway. My extra photo today is of the ballroom all set out for tomorrow, which is a 150 person sellout. There will be music, readings, and myself in conversation with Malcolm Maclean.
