Kowloon Walled City

Now A beautiful, tranquil park.

This was my second visit to see this historical part of Hong Kong. With its sordid past, a den of crime and dense population, it was destroyed in 1995 and replaced with this park, as Hong Kong developed and prepared for Handover in 1997.

Tom had no idea about this part of Hong Kong’s history and was glad to see it.

We were adventurous and took a bus from Lok Fu to Central. Never done that before, but really pleased I did. Went under the harbour and I made a time lapse video of the journey.

Home for dinner and last night with Tom before he heads out tomorrow.
