Decisions!!!

Last autumn Amber was hell bent on digging up the bulbs in the trough. As there is a lovely collection of alliums in there I was most displeased, to put it mildly !!!

So I stuck loads more bulbs ( no idea what) in to the box and covered it with plastic spiky stuff. She has left it alone ....so far.

The smaller bulbs will grow up through the holes, but not the big allium leaves.

At what point in time do I remove the protection?

I have removed the house bricks because some brave little / big / pale leaves are pushing through.
