Patience Young Grasshopper
This tiny grasshopper just landed on C's hand when we were walking on the beach - you can see C's palmprints and fingerprints here to gauge the size of the little creature. He seems to be drinking from a droplet of water. The gritty bits are grains of sand.
Today is our last day on the island of Sukorn. We have been here for 6 days, but stayed in two different places, having three nights in each. This is a really beautiful island, but it's time to move on. Because there is no direct ferry service from here to our next destination, we have booked a long-tailed boat to pick us up from the beach at 9 o'clock to take us to our next island. The alternative route would have meant a motorbike/sidecar, a long-tailed ferry to the mainland, about a 2 hour taxi ride, another long-tailed ferry, and another motorbike/sidecar combo.
We are all packed now ready for morning and it's quite exciting to be off again.
This evening I ate the best Thai green curry that I have ever had - absolutely delicious, and I didn't want it to end!
