Green elf cup

I found one of my favourite fungi this morning - the green elf cup (or green wood cup). Usually you find pieces of blue-green stained wood on the ground. The staining is caused by a pigment in the fungus. However if you turn these pieces of wood (known as 'green oak') over you sometimes see the tiny little saucer-shaped fruiting bodies.
