Sunday treat

I appreciate they are not everyone’s choice for a Sunday snack, or indeed on any day of the week!
But I love oysters, and the fact that a bowl full on the fish counter on offer at my local supermarket was irresistible for me.
I struggle every time to open them, but I always argue that the more frequently I do it, the easier the task becomes.
At one time we were regular weekenders in northern France, and the oysters we bought in St Vaast were something else. I could dispense with regular cooked Sunday lunch in favour of a dozen oysters. And did regularly.
So today’s treat brought back loads of memories. Excuse me, I have one left and I cannot wait any more!
