Kirkwall City Pipe Band

A beautiful sunny morning, and then the wind picked up, bringing showers.  The sunny spells continued throughout the day, and so did the showers.  

Back to work after the weekend, and plenty of tourists about now.  With Up Helly Aa tomorrow, the museum had plenty of folk asking questions, and also a couple of talks about it's history.  There was also a Japanese film crew in the museum for most of the day.   After tea I rushed of to work in the pub.  More visitors in too, but finished early.  Walkies with Sammy, before getting my feet up for the night. 

I met mam for lunch, and headed for the Peerie Shop Cafe.  On our way, we got distracted by the Kirkwall City Pipe Band, who were playing on the street.  A great crowd gathered to listen, and sounded great.  A great way to get the locals and visitors into the party spirit for tomorrow.  Taken at the Market Cross, Lerwick.
