Shovel Art

The hubby had to replace the handle on my garden shovel as it broke when he was digging up the magnolia.   We went to the hardware store yesterday to get three shovel handles as all of our shovels needed handles.

Today I came home from my bowling league and my shovel was on the porch..with painted feathers and a leaf!   The feather pattern is from a large turkey feather we had in the flower bed.  Years ago when he had a motorcycle and worked on them, he and his brother learned how to paint the designs on the gas tanks..he remembered that bit of knowledge to do this design.

Now the question is..how can I use this pretty shovel to dig up dirt?!
