Sunrise after an ice storm....

6 inches of snow on each Friday and Saturday and it was supposed to be another 6 inches Sunday but instead it turned to freezing rain. The ice coated everything! It was pretty, but dangerous...i watched people fall on sidwalks, parking lots, cars slide through stop signs. The bottom photo is the southern view from my bus stop this morning. The south and west sides of the bus shelter were covered in ice but the north & east sides had nothing. The top photo is Olympic Maple Leaf art in the Olympic room/display at a downtown office tower. They are selling them as a fundraiser to financially support our athletes. There was also a big tv for live viewing. Good day at work and lunch out with a good friend/colleague. We meet quarterly, it was his turn to pay and we ate our favorite food, the tuna bowl at King Taps.
