Flowers for mum as usual. She liked freesias.
I suddenly remembered past marmalade trauma and wonder if that’s why I’ve always been so wary. For some reason I think mum might have tried to make it in a pressure cooker once and I seem to recall something quite explosive and marmalade all round the kitchen walls.
