But, then again . . . . .

Pistyll Rhaeadr Waterfall.

Another day, another tourist trap; this time, it is the highest waterfall in Wales at a total height of 73 metres. Niagara Falls, by contrast, only has a drop of 51 metres but you wouldn’t get all of its water through the “eye of the needle” in the middle of the picture.

The weather being a bit drab, I opted for this detail which is about half way down the total drop; the intent is to return with Mrs TD after she’s finished her stitching course and when the forecast tells us we should have some sunshine.

The last five miles of road here is a narrow, single-track road with periodic narrow passing places. Strangely, so were the previous fifteen though, in part, that was due to roadworks causing a significant diversion. The real problem was that the road was classified as a “B” road as was the considerably faster and wider alternative a few miles to the south. Naturally, the sat nav selected the shorter route – as I would had I consulted a map. It was an interesting journey with nice views, a couple of which are in the extras were taken by the church at LLangadwaladr (choose your own pronunciation), a place consisting of a couple of farms, the church and the phone box which would be useful in this area with no mobile reception – if it was still connected.

I've just posted yesterday's, "Pentrepiod Station."
