Day 2 - Critters Beware

Slightly more awake this morning. Had breakfast in the hotel. Discovered that eggs over medium actually exists. Eggs were perfect. Went back to town on the trolley car - great fun - and sorted out the tax free purchases. Lunch was crocodile sausages in a cajun mayonnaise - different, but tasty. Dicussed with Mrs SoL what we would do in the afternoon. My proposal had been the well recommended Swamp Tour, taking in the Bayou, up-close-and-personal interaction with the crocodiles and other wildlife in the area. We went for a walk around the Garden District in the afternoon looking at the houses and gardens. My idea, apparently, did not appeal. Walked past the cemetaries, Sandra Bullock’s house - empty - and several trees that had Mardi Gras beads hanging from them. Found a restaurant that was well recommended, Joey K’s, and ordered another critter. The all you can eat catfish beat me at the first plate. The picture is at the end of what I could manage. Must be a lightweight. Headed back to the hotel to pack. Off tomorrow for our next destination, via another outlet centre, apparently.
