Snowy Scalloway

There was more snow over night, and a few snow showers throughout the day.  It remains minus temperatures, but a lot of sunny spells and a lovely calm evening, lit by moonlight.

I've been working on the museum desk all day.  It's been a quiet day, possibly due to the snow.  There was plenty of jobs to keep me busy, like setting up for tonight's events.  I'm still surprised that no schools have closed in Shetland, but the roads are fairly clear.  I've also been keeping busy looking after the birds in the garden, they are hungry.  Popped along Big Brian and Madeline for a cuppa this evening, walked Sammy after, and now feet up for the night.

I went for a run a lunchtime to snap some snowy scenes, and wishing I was off for a hike in the hills.  I enjoyed this view looking across the harbour to Scalloway.  The snow fairly brightens the landscape during winter, and now feels like spring is along way away.  The village looks much smaller from this angle.  Taken from Cauldhame, Trondra.
