On the breadline......

Another day of no staff and snow chaos. Feeding the shed cattle very difficult as trying to reverse the silage feeder in on the ice and snow was near impossible. Managed to rip a guard off one side while sliding into a shed post.
Then a lot of shoveling drifts and scraping roads to make it up to the hill shed with silage and feed..
Our neighboring good Samaritan farmer ,Andrew B ,took it upon himself to dig out the main road to us with his Manitou this afternoon. Took advantage to run Mrs F to Tesco as running low on supplies. However it was like Armageddon as everyone panic buying. Not a loaf of bread or pint of milk to be had anywhere.
By the time we came back the road was drifting in again, so presume will have no staff again tomorrow.The only advantage is we haven't had a post all week,so no bills to pay (yet ! )
