Last Hurrah

Well almost!

In my crocus lecture I use the line "As the first of the pulsatillas raises it's head to the sun, the crocus season is over and done."  I recently blipped the first pulsatilla bud emerging and soon it will be time for the last crocus of the season.  Milder weather is on it's way here which will see Spring advance more quickly.

A mostly quiet day today.  I spent some time preparing for a lecture tonight, my first to a WI group .... and very lovely they were too.  The talk, 'Peaks and Troughs' subtitled 'Alpines from the Mountain to the Garden' seemed to hit the spot.  Lots of chat, kind comments and interest in the plants and cards for sale after.  A request for another talk in Autumn 2019 was made :-)

Jamie has been having fun with fluorescent, glow in the dark paint today.  He recently bought a cheap, black, violin, with the idea of decorating it.  A future blip opportunity methinks.
