Catch Of The Day

Last week at Playa Linda I showed a fisherman casting his net in the surf. I mentioned at the time that I wasn't sure the waves helped him catch fish, but they made a nice background. Today, on Playa La Ropa, I got the answer to the fishing question - yes the fisherman do actually catch fish off the beach. The beach vendors were quick to come to the aid of their buddy who brought in a huge number of fish after his cast this morning. The photo doesn't show it, but there must have been a couple dozen decent sized fish in the net. It took the six guys no time at all to disentangle the fish from the net and get them into the bucket for later making into tiritas. They will all eat well tonight on the beach.
