Kayak Color
I almost waited too long to go out to our state park. The color is waning...soon to be replaced by bare branches. But...40-50 degrees F and windy doesn't encourage you to get the boat out.
Today was 61F and quite calm. A beautiful day. Plus...it was SO quiet. Myself and 2 other kayaks, and 1 fisherman in a fishing boat. The only sounds you could hear were the sounds of the leaves falling.
One thing I don't like about this time of year is the series of "lasts." Perhaps my last kayak ride...the last of the autumn leaves...the last butterfly...the last dragonfly...the last rose...and the last time that I have to mow the lawn. (Finally a good one.)
I like the lily pads when they flop over onto their backsides, and expose their "veins."
Fall into AUTUMN for a closer look.
