tunnel of love

The birds are all atwitter because a cold front is coming in. Yesterday I was in a T-shirt (high 78 F.), today I am in a sweatshirt (high 57 F.), tomorrow I will be in full winter gear (predicted high 35 F.)
Since the birds are mobbing the birdfeeder in preparation for the cold, they have to take turns waiting in the nearby tree. I caught this male house finch perched near a gap in the branches that looks to be a heart shaped tunnel :-)
