Pastel Sunset

A busy day, though we didn't leave the house.  Waited for a parcel delivery this morning from JL, which arrived half an hour early.  Very impressed, though not quite so impressed with the contents!  It was a bistro table which had to be assembled and TJ discovered several vital washers and screws were missing.  A phone call has resulted in a promise that the supplier will send the missing parts pronto, so we shall see.

Then TJ hung a new (to us) mirror in the hall (a real bargain from my favourite antiques and collectibles shop in Blairgowrie).  We also bought a wooden coat stand from them yesterday before my dental appointment!  I busied myself in the kitchen making a pot of delicious spicy vegetable soup, using up all the rather sad looking leftovers in the fridge.  There will never be another soup like it, but it was a real winner!

TJ also made a start on the new garden bench we bought a few days ago, though there's no rush as the weather wasn't conducive to sitting outside today!  I saw a picture on Gumtree that I think will look good on the wall half way up the stairs, so we will be going to view it tomorrow to see if it is right for us.

In between, I did two lots of washing and drying, a little bit of ironing, a check on clothes for our upcoming holiday and gave Simba his flea treatment:-)  No thought of blipping until the day was almost over and I noticed this very pretty sky as the sun was setting.  Blip sorted:-)
