Daffodils
The first daffodil has opened in the back garden but as yet it's holding it's head down, so isn't very accessible for a photograph. The buds are beautiful too so here's one of them instead. In fact, they're really more elegant like this, with the tightly folded petals creating a lovely alternation of irregular primrose yellow and lime green stripes as they push through their papery covering.
It looks like there'll be a very good display this year, once they're all open. We have a late variety in front of the house, but they're not really even showing buds yet.
