Panthéon View ...
...looking down the Avenue des Gobelins. It shows how hilly Paris can be. The main event of the day was an exhibition of portrait photographs by August Sander (1876-1964) during the Nazi era in Germany, at the Shoah Memorial in Paris. It was fascinating and moving, with many works that had never been exhibited or published previously. A previous exhibition in Paris included some of Sanders' published works. It was an exhibition of posters by a Brazilian, Cândido de Faria (for early movies by Pathe) which took me to the Avenue des Gobelins for the blip.
