Nadege

CCN and I had a lovely afternoon at the Gang Gang Gallery in Lithgow today. Our good friend Nadege Lamy was giving a talk about her incredible art works and her philosophy behind her work. It was fascinating to hear how Nadege progresses through the various stages when creating her masterpieces. Apart from the inspiring talk from Nadege it was great to catch up with quite a few friends who had also made the trip to Lithgow for the presentation. I caught Nadege (pictured on the right) with our friend Pamela.

Many of our friends who visit Wombat Hollow remark on the striking work of art that greets you as you enter our living area. It is a piece that Nadege created at around the time the fires went through the property. In my eyes it was a most appropriate and energising painting to hang after such an event and I love it.

The Gang Gang Gallery is one of the most creative galleries in the Blue Mountains. It has only opened in recent months and is already attracting some of the mountains most renowned artists. We just love the energy of the place and I’m sure this is due to the owner Sharon who is an absolute delight and so enthusiastic about promoting local artists.
