By the sea.......

I got up extra early this morning (well early for being on holiday!) and went down to the beach to catch the sunrise. Unfortunately, there was a bit too much cloud, and what photo's I did take, were ok, but not anything fantastic.

A couple of seagulls were playing in the tide, and this one posed nicely for me in front of the incoming tide. Seagulls are very pretty looking birds, but can be squawky things, especially if someone is throwing food scraps at them.

It has been a relatively nice day here today. We went for a couple of walks, the first from Little Kaiteriteri to Dummy Bay and Stephens Bay and back, and then from Little Kaiteriteri to Kaiteriteri, where we had lunch outside at a cafe. It was a nice relaxing morning.

Son T went for a dip in the sea this afternoon, although he said it wasn't very warm and quickly got out again. The tide has been going out this afternoon, so we went for a walk around the rock pools. It is just starting to spit with rain; I think we are meant to be in for a wet night.
