Sea and Sunshine

Today we walked to Whakariki Beach.  The walking track is through a working farm before you reach the wind blasted coastal forest and the expansive sandy beaches.  (yes that is me snapped by the forester ) I didn't take many shots on the beach because the wind picked up and the sand grains were flying everywhere.  We saw seal pups swimming in a pool.  There where a lot of people enjoying the experience and some took boards so they could slide down the dunes.  
Next we did the short drive to view Farewell Spit or Onetahua.  I loved the patterns created by the incoming tide.
