Fritillary
It was dull and chilly this morning so after helping a neighbour to climb up on a ladder and wash her light fittings, I loaded all the next quarters’ walks for our group onto the website. Then the sun appeared this afternoon, so I sowed some cosmos and courgettes seeds and put them in my tall cold frame, the first time I have used it so they are sitting on shelves, much easier than the kitchen windowsill. I also examined all my Acers for winter damage and they have all pulled through the winter extremely well so only a few dead bits to remove. I don’t seem to have lost many plants over the winter so I am well pleased. I have a few fritillary and this is the first to flower.
