The Many Adventures of Minnie Blipper

He could see straight through a window and into the bedsit that his Ozzie friend Marlene had told him about.  (Marlene's story).  

Very quickly, before he lost his nerve, he shinned down the lamp post yet again, and marched right into the Restaurant to see Monsieur Le Chef to ask about the bedsit.  He had no idea how he could afford it (seeing that he was having difficulty getting his pictures published in Lego News) but there was no harm in asking the rate. 

Ah! 'ello, 'ello, My leetle Ozzie Ami, said Monsieur le Chef.  I 'ave been expecting you.  Marlene, she 'as gone back to Oztralia, and she 'as left you her appartement above my restaurant.  You are a ver' lucky man, mon leetle ami, she 'as paid 6 months in advance, and so you get eet for free.

Minnie's chin nearly hit the floor.  He'd never had such good luck in all his life. 

Monsieur le Chef took Minnie up the outside staircase and showed him the room.  It was perfect.  There was a very nice looking bed, which actually lifted up into the wall, and down one end a comfy swivel chair in front of a beautiful fire.  Looking the other way, a door to a balcony and a small but perfectly formed kitchen (see extras)

Minnie was beside himself.  6 months in an amazing apartment, above one of the city's best French restaurants.  He certainly owed Marlene, that's for sure.

He sighed with pure happiness, glanced out of the window, and saw...........................
