When life gives you lemons ...

Try using them in a delicious vegan dish with potatoes, stock and fennel seed. Remarkable as it is implausible. We had it with leftover vegan fritters and broccoli and pumpkin seeds. Out of Anna Jones’ "The Moden Cook’s Year", another standout dish from the food writer who is our current culinary hero, not least because her dishes are genuinely simple in terms of both ingredients and execution.

Very full on day, generally positive but everyone is feeling the pressure. Some signs that the weather is perking up, which helps with morale. TSM and I shared an office but didn’t see much of each other but it was lovely to do lunch, and we did pick up a coffee an Niki’s, one of Weybridge’s finest cafes.

The cupboard project took one step back and two steps forward tonight when I decide to make a new door out of heavier duty plywood. Looks and hangs much better.

Much needed working at home day tomorrow ...
