Up up and away...

I did try to be creative for my 1825th blip.  I looked up events in Edinburgh in 1825:  foundation of Standard Life; laying of the foundation stone of the Royal High School.

But the opportunity on my way from the dentist (crown replacement) to a meeting in Haymarket to call in at the National Museum of Scotland was too good to miss.

An unanticipated blip was of all the Catalan flags outside the sheriff court in support of Professor Clara Ponsati as she fights extradition.

However, this internal view of the world's largest balloon structure by American artist Jason Hackenwerth gets it.  Over 25,000 balloons shapes like a hive rotating in the centre of the museum attracted lots of interest - and photographs.  Built for the Edinburgh International Science Festival  "Event Horizon" is part of the Existence: Life and beyond and is intended to make you think about going to places that cannot be reached.

Down to earth at the meeting discussing children's services then back to the office with 2 minutes to spare for a discussion with another of our volunteer leaders who is willing to devote a further three years to supporting the system.

Ended the day on a bus in a massive traffic jam heading into town (roadwork lights failing to function) which curtailed my time catching up with my wife to look at lighting for our new rooms.

Still - onward and upward.
