to Get On

Most beekeepers will keep records of how their hives perform and what has been done to them by the beekeeper.  This is the first operation of the year namely to add "supers" to the hives.  These are a smaller box that is put on top of the bees thereby allowing the bee colony to expand and, hopefully, store some honey in the weeks ahead.  

The records from last year indicate that this job was done on 31st March.

Proof, if proof were needed, that we are having quite a late spring.
