Cleanin da Bank

It's been a lovely day, clouds passing from time to time, a the breeze had been warmer, well until tonight, a bit chilly in that breeze.

I've been working on the museum desk all day, and only me and Cathy on.  Thankfully it was a quiet day, due to the fine weather.  Met mam at lunchtime for a walk.  Mam popped along tonight, helped in the peat hill, and a cuppa after.  Off to work in the pub later.

It's time to get going at the peat hill, and hard work is looming.  The peat bank hasn't been used in a few years, and overgrown now, so it needs cleaning first.  Me and peerie Brian cleared the the heather and rough peat, and mam helped too.  Next I'll have to flay the bank (remove the turf), and then get the tushkar to cast them.  Let's hope for good weather.  Me (L) and peerie Brian (R) at the peat bank, Brunt Hamarsland.
