Tradition

A long day at work today. I’d run out of time to prepare my lessons / activities before departing, so had to go in early. I had a plan in mind so it was quickly executed.

It was parents’ day and it was good to meet the parents of a couple of my more challenging boys. I’ve been tasked with speaking to one of them. We’re not trained to deal with literacy issues being language teachers, so I’ll have to see if I can get the mother to speak to the school.

A long day, but a good day. Early dinner with colleagues then it was home to mop the floors. Why when I was exhausted? Dust storms during the week... and I think I’ll need to do it again in the morning, and clean my windows...

The picture is of sweets I’ve bought for the office. There’s also a tin to take to my family in Oz..People were keen to hear about the conference which is positive.
