Abandoned Again!

Not me this time but this young thrush! I had heard a consistent cheeping from my backyard but not thought anything of it. Then I heard a thud as something hit the door of my conservatory. Found this little thrush standing on the step none the worse for the impact on the glass. Milkshake and I watched it as it hopped around, constantly cheeping. I think it's mum had decided the time had come for it to be independent and had flown off after leaving it somewhere she knew it would find food! Finally it flew onto the fence and then out of the yard. I hope it will come back to me to feed in the future - did feel so sad for it  suddenly finding itself all alone!
