Army v Navy 2018

This year was the normal format except;
It was Samantha’s first time
We started from the Woking Travelodge and not Penny & James house.
Poppins for the full breakfast with extra fried bread and two coffees to set the day up before meeting Gary and the Farnborough starters on the train.
The first beer was taken on the platform at 1015.
Joshua looked amazing, dressed as a ‘Toy Story’ Toy Soldier with his features inked onto this green mask by his sister with a black ‘Sharpie’.
Lots of beer at the Albany car park with a few sandwiches as we cooked in the sun.
Scorching hot and windless we slowly continued to cooked in the early afternoon sun whilst drinking more beer and catching up with old friends.
In the stadium we were in the east stand sat in the full glare of the sun, the match progressed in the usual fashion, the Navy started well then lost!!
Out of the stadium via the families engraved paving slab on the Twickenham Walkway before regrouping in the Albany car park for more beer.
Eventually we caught the train back to Woking for our ritual Nando’s before falling into bed around midnight, shattered but happy after another great family day.
