Done!
After a week of grafting whenever there was a spare half an hour, the garden now has a patch of it that isn't mud and weeds. Hoorah!
So nice to be able to sit outside in the sunshine today and enjoy being in my own garden. Thinking back to sunny days last year and being stuck in the flat or forced to go to a public park or pub. I'm so thankful for my little home.
Caged animal fever set in this afternoon though (it turns out that this happens in the garden as well as in the house) so I forced SS to accompany me up to 'Cliffe', my new favourite walk, tucked away just behind Nescliffe (thanks mum!). It's the most perfect place for trail running and I'm itching to find time to give it a go, but still a little nervous on my foot. Anyway, it was utterly glorious and I spent a lot of time thanking God that I get to live in the most glorious county in all of the UK.
Obviously, the whole aim of the garden project was to be able to BBQ on Bank Holiday Monday, and BBQ we did! It turned into an impromptu gathering of a few of the other Cartwright Close girls, meaning I was up way past my bedtime on a school night. Incredibly grateful for good neighbours and finally a little space to entertain.
