Majestic

The Cunard cruise liner Queen Elizabeth  presents a rightly majestic profile in Southampton docks today, ready for a 15-day cruise to the Baltic.

Although now eight years old, the 90,901 ton ship  remains the youngest of Cunard’s fleet, alongside Queen Mary 2 and Queen Victoria, each capturing the same style and manner but in modern dress, of the legendary age of their predecessors.

Both Queen Elizabeth and Queen Mary 2 arrived at the port today at the end of their 2018 world cruises.

The Queen herself named the Queen Elizabeth in Southampton eight years ago and the ship is the third Cunarder to bear the name after the original Queen Elizabeth and QE2.

She sails this evening for the Baltic and will be back in Southampton on May 24.
