Oasis

At this time of year, the gardens at King John’s House in the heart of Hampshire town of Romsey provide an oasis from the bustle of the town centre.

They are just a stone’s throw from the market square and shopping centre and to be found tucked away behind the King John’s House heritage centre. The centre itself reflects 750 years of Romsey’s history, and the charm of the gardens are a chocolate box picture, leading to an open air patio area alongside Miss Moody’s Tudor tea rooms, part of the historic complex.

Oh yes, and there’s this striking view of the tower of the town’s Norman Abbey.
