Competition time....

Dry but cold again. Had to come back in half way round this mornings feeding sheep to get a coat and woolly hat as frozen stiff.
Redpath Transport in to collect the 10 breeding heifers I have sold to a farmer at Lauder. A double decker 40 foot artic was a bit of overkill for only 10 cattle but at least they had plenty of room.
Brought the 185 x hoggs home from their wintering on the next door neighbour's farm today as well
Got a phone call yesterday to say that I was a regional winner in a competition I vaguely remember entering in Farm Contractor magazine . The prize is the use of a 180hp McCormick tractor for 4 weeks. Not bad providing the suppliers don't try to sell it to me at the end of the 4 weeks !
