Another sunset, day 2, from our campsite on the lake (we hiked about 4 miles day 1, and then about 6 miles on day 2). We arrived at the campsite (called Noisy Creek campsite due to Noisy Creek) at about 1pm. Noisy Creek is a major tributary to the lake which deserved its own big bridge. The water coming down there was thundering!

After eating lunch, we left our packs and hiked up a short spur trail to see one of the biggest living Douglas Fir trees (extra, I'm standing to the right of it). Wow - it sure was big.

Another beautiful day with sunny skies however the breeze really kicked up in the afternoon and the logs were sloshing on the beach in some real waves. We heard some loon calls occasionally but didn't see any today.

At about 5pm, a school group of six 6th graders showed up, with their leader, and settled in at the next campsite over. They were very respectful and we were relieved that they were ok with not disrupting the peace. The night before, the only other 2 campers at our campground had a damn %#&@# drone and spun it up to view the lake. ARGH. Where can I go now and not have to deal with somebody's intrusive technology!!

Another night sleeping under the stars (which were fantastic, every time I woke up, I enjoyed them).
