Hare on the hill
Singing, and a 'bitty' sort of day.
Then a really nice late evening walk on Weetwood Moor - along the tracks and back over the moor. Still and clear and, for mid-May, decidedly chilly! We saw several roe deer, at least a dozen hares and all sorts of birds, the skylarks were singing and there were wild flowers in abundance.
Took only the compact camera but, even so, it was one of those occasions when it's difficult to know which photo to blip! The hare with the ragged ear, the yellowhammer singing for his 'little bit of bread and no cheese', or the roe deer that stayed put as we walked, very quietly and steadily, along the track quite close to it (extras).
On the way back to the car we were treated to a fabulous sunset. And, when we finally sat down, there was an old episode of Vera on TV that we hadn't seen before...
