Lemon drizzle
The usual Saturday. Washing, shopping, visiting elderly relatives.
Today I was joined by our daughter (for the visits) who has stayed up after Grandma Jet’s funeral. We visited her other Grandma - Mary - at North Berwick. Our journey time took longer as we had to overtake 4 peletons. If they had been in single file we would have managed fine. But they were often 2 or 3 abreast which caused long tail backs on the windy roads.
Still, made it and sorted out a number of things with more shops and garden activity. My 98 year old mother had prepared lunch and later, to go with a cup of tea, she had baked and decorated the cake. The flowers (she maintains) were edible.
Back home for an hour in the sun and cool air before the haar returned. Then more shopping and visits before a Chinese takeaway.
