Wind

We could have done with some wind today. While some parts of the UK were experiencing downpours and thunderstorms, many were basking in warm sunshine.

Edinburgh, hosting the Marathon Festival, was however shrouded in the typical May haar. Barely rose above 11oC. A good wind from the west would have been helpful instead of the drifting mist from the east.

Perhaps good for the runners but for those of us who believed in the BBC forecast extremely disappointing. Plans for relaxing in the garden in the sunshine were put on hold. While some gardening was done, my wife and I spent much of the day looking at bathroom equipment and floor coverings. In many ways that was very productive to allow the building works at home to proceed. But not quite what we had planned.

The wind reference and the blip is to the Sunday School class for the 4-6 years olds and thinking about the Holy Sprit. Much more fun that my session with the 12-16 year olds!! And much more colourful.
