Tribute

A year after a white supremacist threatened two Black women and killed two of the men who defended them, Portland held a tribute to all who were harmed in that event, and to all who continue being harmed by white supremacy and hatred.

The transit center where the victims were removed from the train has become a memorial designed by an Egyptian-American Muslim woman named Sarah Farahat. The main shot is the closing song by Saeeda Wright. Extra is a long shot of the whole memorial. Second extra is Asha Deliverance, the mother of one of the men murdered, Taliesin Namkai-Meche. More photos are here.
